Takao Ozawa founded Bizseek, Inc. in 1999 which was acquired by Rakuten, Inc. in 2001. In 2003, he joined Rakuten, Inc. due to the merger of Bizseek, Inc. and Rakuten, Inc., and was appointed Corporate Officer in charge of auctions. During his career in Rakuten, Inc., he was engaged in projects such as formation of Rakuten Eagles. Ozawa left Rakuten, Inc. in 2006 and founded Ozawa Research Institute. He energetically enhanced business in areas such as investments to start-up companies and consulting. From 2009 to 2012, he concurrently acted as Corporate Adviser to Rakuten, Inc. In 2011, Ozawa founded Crocos, Inc. which was acquired by Yahoo Japan Corporation in 2012. He joined Yahoo Japan Corporation and in 2013, was appointed Corporate Officer concurrently serving as President of Shopping Company. In 2014, he was also appointed as Chief Executive Officer of YJ Capital, Inc. where he had been formerly appointed as Chief Operating Officer. Ozawa has attained numerous successful results as an investor, such as his investment to nanapi, and actively participates in NPO activities as well.
