Masaya Higuchi joined IBM in 1993 with 23 years career experience, of which 10 years as leadership position. His first career in IBM was Financial Planning during 1993-1998. With the strong wish toward technical career, he had a chance to move to software development laboratory in Yamato, where he has gained diverse expertise around enterprise middleware development, software technical sales support, large-scale service project engagement around BigData during 1998-2004. Then, started the leadership career position in Software Strategy in 2005, New Business Development during 2006-2007, Software Services during 2007-2008, Cloud Computing in 2009-2012, Smarter Cities 2011-2012, Territory Executive for Tohoku/Hokkaido 2012-2014, IBM Watson Ecosystem, a Partner & Alliance 2015-2016, followed by the current role of Business Unit Executive of Watson Customer Engagement since 2017.
