Emi Takemura

Emi is an entrepreneur and an avid supporter of the startup and education ecosystem. After a stint in management consulting at Monitor and McKinsey & Co., Emi has held numerous senior management positions at Excite Japan, Amazon Japan, and Disney Interactive Media Group before embarking on startup journey to co-found Peatix.com in 2011. In 2015, Emi co-founded Unreasonable Labs Japan, a global social entrepreneur accelerator, and co-founded FutureEdu Tokyo in 2016 to advocate the importance of re-imagining education via film screenings, events, and a blog. Emi currently serves as a fellow at Mistletoe Inc’s Education Squad and is a member of several committees at Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications.

Emi holds a B.A. in Economics from Keio University, an MBA from Wharton School, and an MA from the Lauder Institute.
